This brass incense holder can be used for both incense cones and resin alongside charcoal discs. It comes with a detachable lid with star shaped holes. The smoke escapes through these - meaning the smoke can rise through gently. It's a good idea to add a little sand, earth or rice at the bottom of the burner to help protect the burner. 
With 3 brass legs, which keeps the base raised, please use something heat resistant underneath. Never leave unattended.
